Welcome to my year long adventure of finding the best fry there ever was.  Turning fifty in June of 2024 triggered this year long adventure.  As life has its way, I was recently side tracked a bit with the return of my cancer mid December ‘24. This came as a shock, it is disappointing, and it really shook me up a bit.  I’m taking this time of healing to focus my attention on positive vibes, surrounding myself with good hearted people, and doing what makes my heart the happiest.  I will be focusing more on my stationery product line (SWAK paper goods) and my famous PEN15® Pencil Club…all of which will end up being available here sometime soon. My cancer isn’t a curable one (maybe they will figure that out soon and I can change that statement), it’s one that you maintain with new treatments when one stops working, and often comes with some sort of a fracture…mine fractures happen to be in my lower back which is a hot mess.  Having a physical disability has been a tough ‘pill’ to swallow…prior to finding out my cancer was back, I had accepted a full-time position as a manager at Madewell.  I was so excited to feel like I was finally moving forward financially…and the refreshing new opportunity to do something different than I had been doing the past 25 years.  Two weeks in to my new position I had to step down because the pain was so unbearable. As I look to the unknown future, I want to continue to create in my ‘lab’ and share those creations with you. I’m excited for the opportunity to live my life as a small batch maker…making things available as I am physically able to create.  I look forward to more fry dates, and look forward to adding my products as they become available.
